Starting his practice in January 2000, Dr. Opresnik is grateful every day to have a career helping people.
He became credentialed in Active Release Techniques in 1998 and has been using soft tissue therapies in combination with joint manipulation ever since. This has aided him in treating a wide variety of conditions: from sports-related injuries such as tendinosis to the repetitive strain and postural problems that occur with prolonged computer use.
Dr. Opresnik also incorporates the use of kinesiotape and instrument assisted Graston techniques into his treatment as clinically warranted. He especially likes treating shoulder injuries, as the improvements can be rapid and stabilized well with rehabilitative exercises.
Having worked in multi-disciplinary medical clinics since 2004, Dr. Opresnik enjoys collaborating with other healthcare practitioners. He gives back to the profession through volunteer work as a senior examiner and various other committee work with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board.
In his spare Time, Dr.Opresnik enjoys spending time in the mountains, whether it is hiking, biking, skiing, fly-fishing, or back-country camping, he is out there soaking up all that nature. When in town, he is probably in the kitchen, cooking or backing for the next family feast.
